History of the taxis

The word taxi is derived from the ancient Greek word τάξις (taxi), meaning 'to pay'. The name is derived from the ancient Latin taxa (tax), which was originally used for rental cars. The text is a reduction of the French word 'taximètre'. The Germans call this device a 'taxameter'.

The history of public rental cars goes back hundreds of years, even before cars. The first public service work was recorded in 1605 in London.

In 1625, tourists from London rented carts. In England the Hackney Carriage law was passed as the first law to pay a horse-drawn carriage tax.

In 1636, the first taxi in London appeared. Back in 1637, Nicolas Sauvage of Paris provided horse and buggy in the French city. They are known as Fiacres. Hackney Carriers licenses were issued in London from 1662.

The Hub Cubs were patented in 1834 by York artist Joseph Hhleng. They were horse-drawn carriages; it was lighter and faster than Hackney's carts. It's also cheaper to ride.

Gottlieb Daimler built the world's first electric taxi. Included was a taxman, named Daimler Victoria, who was given to German businessman Friedrich Greiner. Stuttgart was the first taxi company.

The time or distance the vehicle is traveling. This allows for better transportation costs. Soon taxis appeared in many lands, and petrol taxis arrived in Paris in 1899, London in 1903, and New York City in 1907.

Paris' taxis played a key role in World War I, secretly transporting troops to the Front in 1914. They also carried the refugees and were injured afterwards.

Yellow taxis began in 1967, and in time New York ordered that all taxis should be the same color to make them easier to find. Harry Allen became the first person in the United States to own a yellow taxi, imported from France, and painted yellow to distinguish it from cars. Although companies today control the military of various colors, many taxi companies keep yellow cars in honor of this tradition.

Now in 2021 using the internet and mobile phones, you can now book taxis online very easily. Any kinds of travel needs, even airport rides ,can be quickly met with Farnborough airport taxis.

As now cars progressed and became more efficient in the next few decades, successful taxi companies continued to compete by constantly developing and transforming their ports.

There are now many taxi companies around the world. Taxis are always available to reduce your travel needs. Any need, local tours, daily office trips, flights etc. Aldershot airport taxis take you to your airport during your departure and arrival.

In the future, the industry will continue to emerge in radical ways. Although taxis have changed little over the past 100 years, in recent years there have been significant advances in technology.
