Future of Taxis - Driverless Cabs on the roads

Everything is getting automated except human mind and imagination to create more innovations to the world we are living.

Talking about artificial intelligence, experts are predicting that there won’t be any driver jobs because future cabs drive itself to our destination without any demands.

Near future we have to go through this phase change, as driverless cars are already on experiment, giant companies like Google, BMW, Nissan, Ford, General Motors, Delphi Automotive Systems, Tesla, Mercedes Benz, Bosch are in the forefront of revolutionary lifestyle change.

So the taxi business will become a completely automated online business, Entrepreneurs have only to worry about the machine cost and maintenance than the labour problems and casual leaves of employees.

What is a Driverless cab?

The days of learning driving where quite painful and we feel how to do all these process of steering, braking, gear change within a short time.

Automatic Cars reduced that process by automating gear systems. Future is much more simple with a driverless car.

Driverless Cab is a fully autonomous vehicle which is capable of sensing its surroundings and drive without any human input.

Tsukuba Mechanical Engineering Lab in Japan created the first autonomous, intelligent vehicle in 1977.

It tracked white street markers and achieved speeds up to 30 kilometers per hour. Only 2015, US allowed testing of autonomous vehicles on public roads.

In 2017 the Audi A8 was claimed to be the first production car to reach level 3 autonomous driving, and Audi would be the first manufacturer to use laser scanners in addition to cameras and ultrasonic sensors for their system.

Various Technologies such as, radar, laser light, GPS, Computer vision, Odometry are used in combination to achieve driverless cabs, and the backbone of these technology is deep neural networks, which  is machine learning process that learns various results of real time experience and make the system more accurate.

How it serves the passengers?

Nutonomy is one of several companies racing to launch self-driving vehicles, with automakers and technology firms striking new alliances. It started a public trail on the roads of Singapore at 2016 and full-fledged operation is expected in 2018.

Service of Driverless Taxis will be purely App based and customers could book their ride and pay online.

Japan Made Robot Taxi is another Driverless Cab expected to launch in 2020 as part of 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Japan promise a driverless ride to all tourists and athletes for the Olympics.

Advantages of Driverless cabs
1. Space Savers

Parking space is very important, in busy streets not only the car space, but an extra space for the driver to get in and out is needed.

Driverless cabs can overcome the space limitation by adapting itself to the limited width of car not any extra space, possible for cars to be stacked more closely alongside each other.

 2. Traffic Tailoring

Almost 7 billion hours in traffic, waste 3.1 billion gallons of fuel and lose around $160 billion due to traffic congestion in America only.

Driverless cars can reduce these traffics by updated computer information about faster routes and the best way to reach destination.

3. Time is money

Time spend for driving is very costly, so when driverless Cabs are there to commute us, we can convert our time to money for any productive purpose or office jobs in Laptop or our routine client calls etc.

4. Safer Streets

Accidents made due to over speed, carless and drunken driving, sleeping drivers can be avoided through Driverless Cabs.

Once driverless cars become commonplace on our streets, it is expected that accidents are likely to fall by a whopping 90%.

5. Green Technology

The technology involved in a driverless car of the future will be such that each vehicle can be optimized to ensure fuel consumption is as efficient as possible.

So much so that new-age cars are expected to help reduce emissions by 60%.

Limitations or risk factor of Future Cabs

1. Safety

Right now, most self-driving cars are stumped by harsh weather. Heavy rainfall interferes with sensors, and snow on the ground makes it hard for vehicles to read lines on the road.
All the little mistakes that Google Maps or Siri make will need to be taken care of, too.
Driverless Cabs will have to include programming for some pretty heinous dilemmas.
For example, if a couple of kids ran out in front of your vehicle, it may have to choose between swerving at the risk of your safety or staying on its path at the risk of theirs.

2. Communication

Will computers be able to transmit information in areas of poor reception? Will competing driverless entities work together so that one brand's SUV can warn others about traffic ahead?
How much information will vehicles share with each other without sacrificing the privacy of passengers? That leads into another driverless car problem.

3. Security
The possibility of your vehicle being hacked is frightening. Companies will need to be deliberate in combating an opportunity for car-jackers to work wirelessly.
If any security hacking occurs the kidnapping will be easy as driverless cabs become a security threat and social problems. Anyone who want to track or stop a person without reaching a place can hack the network and control the cab movement.
The real war and crime will be with computers and technology not any physical guns and bullets. So security check is must and must be ensured real time before the cab launch.

4. Liability
The rules and laws must be changed so that, who will be liable for any offence must be clearly defined, if any casualties occur.

The company that manages the  driverless cab will have to take the social responsibility of any incidents this little cab make on the public road, because we cannot get angry or fight with the driving computers.

Future cabs and future of Drivers

The entire car industry is under threat, and with it affects the wide range of jobs everything from repairs to parking, from financing to insurance.

When autonomous vehicles take over the driving, drivers will need to retool their skill set to relevant opportunities.

The only way to adapt with the new change is to educate themselves with latest technologies, computer fields and communication skills.

So they can find a better place in some other industry where robots or Machines less make impacts. Low wage jobs will be replaced by high technology.

The much decision making high profile jobs still have the chance of existence, one who can command over these robots and computers, so learn new things to earn in the near future.

Great cars film have a real version

While seeing the car film on television, no one expect that it becomes a reality, a self-driving car world.

Most of the fiction stories and imaginative technologies are happening faster as our age moves on.

When earth was filled only with living creature’s man was the super power, but when man started to develop machines to assist or dilute his hard tasks having intelligence, some of the living creatures become slaves of that machines.

Now how the smartphones change the lifestyle of us, tomorrow these technology driven machines will decide our job and career or even our existence on Earth.

No need to get panic, Man has evolved from Stone Age to these AI age with enhancing more skills and abilities.

So let’s go and relax in a Driverless Cab, Wherever you are, Taxis in Farnham or Robot Taxis in Japan, update yourself with new Technology.

“Be a first rate version of yourself .Not a second rate version of someone else.”

Tips for choosing airport transfer service

Airport transfers can be confusing, especially if you are for the first time and because of the limitations and regulations of COVID-19. In addition to tight flight schedules, last minute flight changes, and huge losses can be caused by small delays and can be very difficult. The airport taxis play a major role in determining the success of your trip. While there are many options available, not all services are reliable. Why Taxis Are Relevant for Transportation?

The world is developing at an ever-increasing pace, as is the development of the various modes of transportation available to the public. With so many transportation options available it is clear that people’s days now have a difficult time deciding which vehicles will suit their travel needs. Although many companies have converted to providing you with transportation, nevertheless, no car can compete with the traditional taxis we have been using. One of the most important benefits of having a taxi experience is that they can go to hell for one of the fastest ways to travel. Taxi drivers know how to get around the city. They know all the places that can help them make shortcuts to make sure you arrive on time. Taxis take away the pressure on the trip. You don’t have to worry about routes, tolls, parking spaces, or anything else, as you can focus on just getting to your destination. Whether you’re on your way to the airport or hospital, if someone else can drive you, it will take ...
